Bo earned a master’s degree in language technology from the University of Oslo before joining the machine learning team responsible for Norwegian Siri at Apple. He worked there for nearly 3.5 years and he was leading the Norwegian Siri machine learning team for the last 2.5 years of those 3.5 years.

After having worked at Apple abroad he moved back to Norway and joined Piano, where he has continued working in the field of NLP and large language models (LLMs). He has held broad responsibilities within AI development, with a focus on data collection, processing, and architecture to support LLM workloads. He has been actively involved in building RAG pipelines and developing autonomous systems such as AI agents.
